Dawn LaCarte is a dynamic and passionate behavioral healthcare professional with over 25 years in the field. She has served in numerous capacities, in all treatment modalities including senior-level administration, therapist, business development, and interventionist.
An upstate NY native, Dawn holds a Bachelor’s of Art in Sociology and Criminal Justice from University at Albany-SUNY, where she pursued her Master’s Degree in Social Work. Dawn is an Advanced Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor, Clinical Interventionist, Certified Recovery Coach, and Usui Reiki Master Teacher, Master Certified Life Coach and Certified Grief Educator.
Having worked extensively with individuals addressing addiction and co-occurring disorders, Dawn feels passionate about appropriate level of care recommendations based on thorough assessments. Since 2013, Dawn LaCarte has gained experience touring numerous treatment centers, extended care programs, and intensive outpatient programs across the country to ensure ethical providers who utilize evidence based methods are the only places for her clients.
Dawn feels most passionately about her work with a diagnostically complex group of individuals addressing substance use, post-traumatic stress disorder, major depressive, anxiety, and attention disorders in addition to trauma, grief & loss – “I’ve spent the better part of my life studying and advocating for substance use recovery and mental wellness awareness. I believe deeply in the power of empathy and compassion to nurture resilience and recovery.”
